JeanPaul is a residing artist in Miami Beach. His work is very detailed to the point where it looks like a photograph. He has some great portraits in his studio. I never understood why the eyes in some of his work appeared to have been erased. Today I learned something new about JeanPaul’s work. The eyes may appear to have been erased but it’s not. The eyes are there just not in the way we’re used to seeing them. Eyes tells us so many things we didn’t or maybe I didn’t realize it could. So many people wear sunglasses and take pictures with them on however if you take a picture without them it tells us so much more behind the person that’s standing in front of us.
