I’m enrolled in the Master’s Certificate program for Museum Studies, specifically focusing in Exhibition Design.

Over the summer I had an internship at the Coral Gables Museum in which I am managing the Capture Coral Gables Contest and Exhibit, where contestants snap photographs in and about Coral Gables and submits their photos for the contest. The finalists photos will be exhibited at the museum from 6/6-8/23 and of those 14 winners are selected for prizes.

My role is to manage the program from start to finish including: updating website, identifying and send marketing emails to prospective contest participants. Track and log contestant photos, seek and secure sponsors and prize donors for prize winners and secure judges for the contest. Once finalist are identify, plan the proposed exhibition design and implement by 6/6/2014 which is opening night. Here I am in the process of exhibition planning, which seems to be changing every hour…. as things arise.
